So basically when I get in my car I immediately change the radio station. I'm so indecisive when it comes to music, and I focus more on the sound of the guitar and drums than the actual words! So that is one of my annoying features. But anyways, the point is, this time I got in the car and it was set to 102.5 (that's the normal, I just like it to be on that when I turn on my car.) which is LIFE! kind of like K Love I guess. So in my normal life I would be like BAM, switching stations! But today was different. And I can't really tell you why? Maybe I'm just finally examining my life more than usual and I realized that there is so much GARBAGE on the radio. like wow. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can appreciate well written, "wholesome" ish secular songs. But Katy Perry...I mean really? What is her problem. No, I'm not a California girl, and no I don't wear daisy dukes with bikinis on top. Sorry. and Kesha...I'm not going to your little freak show, hole in the wall business. Yeah and Jason Derulo, I'M NOT IN YOUR HEAD!!!! ahhh. so anyways, now that that is in the open, I want to say that INSTEAD of listening to that junk, I actually left it on 102.5 and i was SO surprised that I actually enjoyed it. I actually sang with an open heart and let the lyrics really penetrate my heart. I was actually worshiping in the car...doesn't happen often for me. I'm usually rockin out to Carrie Underwood or T swift. (which by the way I don't have much against their music...MUCH)
So to sum up that really crazy, all over the place paragraph...I am challenging myself and anyone else that may read this to ONLY listen to a Christian radio station all week! No matter what. And maybe afterward you can go back to a little secular music, like some Tim McGraw and Kris Allen...but otherwise, try to keep it clean. Dirty music is just what it sounds like. DIRTY. why would you want to spoil such a music art form: MUSIC, with such disgusting words?! Really, just try it guys. I'm going to!
